  • May 8 Callon Petroleum (CPE -15.8%) plummets after reporting Q1 earnings below consensus. Howard Weil downgrades shares and lowers its price target to $8 from $10, saying the EPS miss was driven by a ~2% production shortfall that was only partly offset by a slightly greater oil cut, resulting in revenues ~3% below what the firm modeled.
