      Nordstrom's Shopping Spree Ends
Net profit margin has dropped by over 400 basis points.
Will Nordstrom keep its dividend with lower earnings and bigger debt obligations?

      Joy Global's Ludicrous Valuations
Also the one thing you don't want to do is buy back shares. JOYG has already overpaid for its shares. They need to preserve cash for a very long down turn.

      Joy Global's Ludicrous Valuations
Mark, admire your ideas but would worry about Joy's end markets. All the miners I follow about shutting production. Where is the business going to come from? They want to buy back shares out of future earnings. Again where are the earnings going to come from?
Thanks again for the great work you do. Unfortunately mining is leading the way down with demand collapse.

      Boeing: Intrinsically Undervalued
problems start with your assumptions: revenue (order cancellations in a worsening global economy) and EBITDA (BA has given up substantial wage concessions that will hit their margins).

Who's Benefiting from the Agriculture Bust?
I concur. The meat producers are starting to look a little more appetizing but we still need some more tenderizer before taking a bite with further corn, soy price drops and easier credit.

Massive Opportunity to Short the Dollar
The world is very worried. Growth slowing across the globe; political uncertainty. Where does one go in an uncertain world: the U.S. Dollar. Also shorting something that has been down so long (six years) is a very foolish bet. Suggest the Euro as a short is smarter.

Can Apple Withstand the Financial Sector's Fall?
Zach, you seem to be bullish and the stock goes down.
Now that the stock has dropped you are now bearish.
      Think you'll be wrong again.

      That will affect stock price.

Dell has fallen down on the job with its terrible servicing. I've always owned Dells but have gotten frustrated with dealing with service issues in which I am always interacting with people who don't speak English and who know nothing about computers!

Brunswick Corporation: Is the Bad News Over?
BC last quarter held up with overseas vessel sales. See what is happening with car sales overseas in Europe in French and Italian markets. They are cratering. My guess is that BC sales will slump in Europe paralleling the auto market.

One wonders whether Brunswick has pushed boats onto dealers who cannot sell them. Next quarter should see whether the pipeline has been choked.
